The Tennessee River Is 100 Tires Less

Beyond A Green Builder: A Green Doer.

Green builder Collier Construction transports over 100 tires from the Tennessee River.Collier Construction joined 1,000 volunteers for the 23rd annual Tennessee River Rescue – a grassroots effort to make a difference in the scenic city by cleaning up the trash lining the river.

From elementary students to concerned citizens, volunteers dispersed into more than a dozen locations throughout the Hamilton County area and spent Saturday cleaning up the river. And for the second year in a row, Collier Construction helped transport used tires from each location to a large flatbed truck which delivered the tires for recycling.

Every year, individuals and businesses dump hundreds of used tires into the river and area creeks instead of delivering them to the Hamilton County Transfer Station (Google Map).

But every year for 23 years, volunteers get deep into the area’s creeks and river banks to remove tires and trash, keeping our river healthy and our communities a better place to be. To learn more about the Tennessee River Rescue, visit tennesseeriverrescue.com.
