Collier Construction Receives Small Business of the Year Award from the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.
Chattanooga, TN (Mar 16, 2011) -- Collier Construction was named Small Business of the Year by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Wednesday morning during the annual awards breakfast. Collier joined Ribbon & Bows, Oh My! and River City Property Management as nominees for the 1-20 employees category.
“It is a tremendous honor for Collier Construction to stand along side all of this year’s nominees,” said Ethan Collier, President and CEO. “And we are sincerely grateful for this recognition.”
Recipients of the 21-50, the 51-200 and the nonprofit awards were Metalworking Solutions, Zaxby's and Junior League of Chattanooga, respectively. Criteria for selecting nominees included commitment to good and ethical business practices; growth in employees, sales or customer base; and community involvement and corporate citizenship. Collier was recognized for diversifying services, expanding operations and growing its customer base during the economic recession as well as its education and community involvement initiatives.
“I’m proud to have a business in Chattanooga. This city rallies around its small businesses,” Mr. Collier said. “The Chamber of Commerce is instrumental in supporting entrepreneurship, and because of their work, our city is a better place to do business.”

Collier Construction is a Chattanooga general contractor providing services for a range of projects, from additions and renovations to custom residential and commercial construction. Since its inception in 2002, Collier has built 25 new custom homes, completed over 100 additions and remodels, and overseen nine commercial projects.
