iGNiS Glass Studio
The collaboration between Chris Mosey, owner of iGNiS Glass; Eric Myers, principal architect at Elemi Architects; and Collier Construction led to what is now Ignis Glass—an impressive 3-in-1 anomaly that includes a hot shop side for glass blowing and sculpting, a cold shop for grinding glass sculptures, and offices and a showroom for on-site sales.
Having seen Mosey blow glass, project superintendent, Darnell Bice says that “anyone visiting Loose Cannon will want to stop and watch him work from the sidewalk. His business will be derived from people shopping in that area.” Bice’s words depict the iGNiS Glass niche—its ability to combine commercial appeal with artistic vision. The sculptures are both stylish and accessible while the unfolding scene inside the studio is as artistic as it is entertaining. The space achieves functionality and aesthetics, and its welcoming atmosphere merges fluidly with its industrial qualities.
