We like to think of it as building a better way of life for homeowners—building long-lasting and healthy homes that require less energy and resources to operate.
It also means that our processes are centered on building strong, collaborative relationships. We know that our success depends on good communication, honesty, and high-caliber customer service.
And building a better way means clearing the path for change in the construction industry.
Our goal is to promote sustainable building practices and help educate the public about the importance of green construction.
Sustainability is important to us because it is critical to the health of our planet and the quality of your project.
But above all, we build green because it’s the right thing to do, just like ensuring quality customer service, promoting collaboration, or improving communication and transparency. It’s about building a better way.
So from your first interactions with us to the final moments of your project, we hope to deliver a distinctly positive experience—one that matches the quality and the longevity of your home.

PRESIDENT & CEO
Since starting Collier Construction in 2001, Ethan has set high priority on customer needs and building a unique and quality product that both Collier and the customer can be excited about!
At Collier Construction the primary goal is to serve the customers well. Ethan has a very hands-on approach to beginning any project Collier takes on. He is the first person to speak with each potential customer and it’s his desire to make sure that Collier is a good fit for all potential projects. He plays a vital role in the beginning stages of each project, helping the customer develop a plan that fits their needs and budget. Then he works side by side with his staff to ensure they have what they need in order to get the job done correctly.
“For us it’s not about building a product as much as it is about customer service. I think that’s a little bit unusual in construction, but for us it’s about looking at how we can meet the need of each client. Our commitment to customer service really sets us apart.”
While Collier Construction puts its focus on customer service, the company remains dedicated to the highest quality of construction techniques and getting the job done right. In 2009 Collier received the President’s Award from the Home Builders Association of Southeast Tennessee and in 2010 the President’s Award from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga. Collier was named 2011 Small Business of the Year by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, and also received the Torch Award from the Better Business Bureau in 2013.
Ethan is a LEED® accredited professional builder and is licensed to build in Tennessee and Georgia. He has previously been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by the Young Professional Association of Chattanooga and actively engages issues of economic development and environmental stewardship in our community. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Home Builders Association of Southeast Tennessee and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. He is a member of the Construction Management Advisory Committee for ITT Technical Institute and also serves on the United States Green Building Council.
When not at work, Ethan enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. They are actively involved with their church, Calvary Chapel Chattanooga. He enjoys hiking, and is currently tackling the Appalachian Trail with his 8 year-old son, Caleb.
“I absolutely love the people that I work with. I love spending time with them, I love working with them and I love what we do. Every morning, I get up and do what can be a very hard job, but I do it because I get to work with these guys."
Gabe has been with Collier Construction for one year, working primarily on the business side and handling customer invoices and other financial duties.
He has his Masters in Business Administration and specializes in financial negotiations and real estate development.
“I feel like it adds value to people's lives to have good places to live and a nice, well thought out home and community."
The majority of his time is spent scouting for land to build on for new Collier developments. He is responsible for finding the property, negotiating the purchase and choosing the hardware for spec homes as new subdivisions are developed for potential customers.
Gabe is a native of Chattanooga and lives here with his wife and two daughters.
“It’s really cool and sort of fun to not just look at a project as a way to make money, but to look at it and make sure it’s a place where people will love to live and will add value to the community.”
Dustin came to Chattanooga from Lakeland, Fla., to attend Covenant College. Here he met his wife and eventually made Chattanooga his home with his four kids, Miles, Lexi, Jude and Sam.
At Collier Construction, Dustin is responsible for managing project superintendents to ensure that work is being completed in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards and keeping the project on budget. His ability to remain calm and work well with all kinds of people helps him to solve problems efficiently as they arise and keep the work on schedule.
“I like being able to see results. When you get done with a job, you can see it. It’s not on a hard drive somewhere or on a piece of paper. You can see what the end product looks like, which is a fun part for me.”
He is the eyes and ears of Collier Construction, making sure that the customer is getting what they want and that every building is up to the company’s high standards. Often the first person to work and the last to leave, Dustin enjoys fishing and spending time with his family in his free time.
“At Collier, we all really like working together, but we come to the table with different points of view that helps us figure out the right way to handle things. I enjoy my job and enjoy what I do, but we all enjoy working together.”
Bryan has been with Collier Construction for 12 years, and has been a project estimator for the past seven years.
As an estimator for Collier, Bryan helps clients develop a building plan from the beginning and creating a budget that suits each client’s needs. His skill at working with clients and getting feedback in the planning process helps Collier Construction make sure that each project will provide the customer with a quality product that meets the client’s needs and desires while staying within budget.
Bryan is a certified LEAD renovator and is safety certified by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
When he’s not working, Bryan enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife Sherene and four-year-old son Robby.
“I like my job because every day is something new. We’ve never built the same thing twice, so I get introduced to new products all the time — sometimes from our customers. There’s constant learning, it’s never old and I can’t imagine ever getting bored.”
Mallary has been with Collier since January 2015. With 13 years of customer service and administration experience she is a great asset to the team! She helps facilitate the daily needs of the office including setting up initial customer meetings, handling accounts payable requests, and keeping things organized and on task!
"Collier is certainly one of the most enjoyable places I have worked. We have a great team chemistry! Everyone here works hard to get the job done - it makes coming to work easy!"
When Mallary is not at work she is very involved at her church, Calvary Chapel where she serves on the media team and with the women's discipleship ministry.
Chris has lived in Chattanooga for the past 15 years but spent his childhood in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. He graduated from Notre Dame High School and studied business entrepreneurship at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
He has worked in the construction business for 11 years and has been with Collier Construction since May 2013.
On a daily basis, Chris works with each customer and communicates their needs and concerns to subcontractors and other employees to produce a quality product in a timely manner. He believes in building relationships with each customer he works with in order to property meet their needs and expectations.
Chris is on the Construction Committee for Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Chattanooga Area, and in his free time he enjoys working out, spending time with family and doing custom woodwork.
“I believe building with Collier is more of an experience than a business transaction. Getting to work directly with the people we build for is an enjoyable aspect of my job. I do my best to make the building process a positive experience for the homeowner.”
Brandon joined the Collier Construction team in the fall of 2015, bringing with him more than 18 years of construction experience. His role with Collier includes scheduling and managing subcontractors for multiple projects, while ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards are met each day to the satisfaction of both the company and the client.
Brandon began his construction career as a carpenter, where he learned how to build a house from the ground up. He quickly worked his way to construction management for a residential builder and eventually became a commercial construction superintendent for a hotel developer.
“I enjoy every aspect of building, but I especially enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life. I spent several years working as a construction manager for Habitat for Humanity and it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life as I got to work with first time homeowners, subcontractors and volunteers.”
While Brandon takes his job seriously, he is most well-known in the office for making people laugh.
“I try not to take myself too seriously all the time. My outgoing personality and sense of humor are evident in everything I do, and generally put people at ease immediately which creates an enjoyable working environment for everyone.”
In his spare time Brandon enjoys being outdoors, in particular fishing and hiking, and enjoys making music as both a drummer and guitarist. He currently lives in Chattanooga with his wife and three sons.
“It has been a joy and pleasure working with Collier Construction. We are so pleased with our new front porch, new siding, and fresh paint on our house! Paul and I receive compliments daily and we 'pass on' high regards for Collier. We are certain that the beautiful work and hard labor will benefit us all!Carol and Paul Schoner Southside Home
Many thanks go to the construction workers who were so diligent in their daily labors here. I watched them with awe and I was so impressed with their attention to detail. They were each kind, as well.
May I also say that Dustin has been a dream to work with—so punctual, consistent, easy to work with, and very knowledgeable! Thank you for sharing him with us.
Blessings to you all...”
“Many thanks for the wonderful gift certificate to the best in Chattanooga! We love being able to walk to so many great places. Also want to thank you for allowing us to work with Hamilton. We are huge fans of his!”Carylon
“It’s hard to believe but we have been in our house a full year since the remodel! In a sense it seems so long ago, like the house has always been this way. The best compliment we consistently receive is that “the addition looks like it was always there”.Chad Wamack
I wanted to let you know Lisa and I appreciate the quality work that Collier Construction performed on our home. We selected Collier based on many factors but ultimately given the complexity of the project, we felt Collier was a contractor that we could work with through the ups and downs of a long project. The Collier employees, from top to bottom, proved that we made the right decision.”
