Ernie Freistat

Ernie has been with Collier Construction since June 2018, he got his introduction to construction early in life as a day laborer on construction sites in his teens. He worked his way up the ranks before making a  switch from his family’s Florida-based construction company to try his hand in sales and marketing.  

"I always enjoyed the challenge of it," he says of construction work. "It's rewarding to put a job together and watch it grow."  

Ernie eventually found his way to Chattanooga and back into the construction field through what was supposed to be a temporary visit to the Scenic City. "I was only ever going to stay for a year, I was just  looking for something different to do with my life." Now, years later, he proudly calls it home.  

In Chattanooga, Ernie found it, both in terms of a successful career in an industry he loves as the VP of Construction and a woman to share it with the love of his life, Noelle. Ernie and Noelle are welcoming their first baby, and they are excited to begin the adventures of parenthood!
